Ashley and Shaun’s Italian Inspired Wedding at the Portofino Bay Hotel

THE LOW-DOWN

Ashley and Shaun’s Italian inspired wedding at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel took place on a beautiful day in mid-April earlier this year. Traveling to Orlando from Florida’s east coast, the happy couple celebrated their big day with their nearest and dearest loved ones in attendance. Mairead from our team had the honor of partnering with Ashley and Shaun on their event as their Day-of Wedding Coordinator. She had many fun details to share with us, so be sure to check those out below!

We thought Ashley and Shaun’s wedding color scheme of blush, purple, and white accented with greenery was just lovely for a spring wedding. The beautiful bride wore an Italian inspired wedding gown with gorgeous lace and cap sleeves, and her groom wore a classic black suit and tie. They both looked so elegant!

Some of the other details we really enjoyed from Ashley and Shaun’s wedding were the piano shaped box they used to hold their rings, the four-piece string quartet they chose to accompany their outdoor ceremony at the Villa Piazza, and the light wands they used for their grand exit. The Just Marry! Team so enjoyed working with Ashley and Shaun on their Italian inspired wedding at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel! We asked their wedding planner, Mairead, some questions about the event, and this is what she shared:

What was something about this wedding that truly touched you?

Their whole ceremony! We were all tearing up the whole time. Between Ashley’s entrance where her friend sang her down the aisle to the couple’s touching vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight! Ashley and Shaun both love each other so much, and I am so happy I was able to witness that love on their wedding day. Shaun also had a dance with his daughter during the reception, which was so special!

What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?

Mix and match tables! They had two long banquet tables and the rest were rounds. It was a beautiful combination that perfectly suited the event’s Italian inspired wedding design.

What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?

“You Matter to Me” by Gulling & Mueller.

Where did the couple stay while in Orlando?
