THE LOW-DOWN
Amanda and Eric’s sweet family wedding took place at the Portofino Bay Hotel in mid-January. Their day was a celebration of their love and the joining of their families. We so enjoyed working with them on their planning and being part of their special day!
There were many memorable ways Amanda and Eric honored their families in their wedding. Their daughter was the flower girl and looked so adorable in her floral crown! She was part of her parents’ first look and did a special dance with her dad during the reception that melted everyone’s hearts. We adored how her parents made her such a big part of the wedding!
Amanda clearly took great pride in becoming an “official” member of her groom’s family, personalizing her gown hanger, the cake topper, and even the bottoms of her wedding shoes with her new name. She made sure to include a first look with her dad, as well, and her brother stood as their officiant. There was love woven throughout this family wedding!
We thought Amanda and Eric’s wedding color palette of blue, pink, and burgundy was perfect for a January wedding. Jennifer wore a lace wedding gown with a unique pink capelet that embraced the color scheme and the winter season. It all came together in day we know they’ll cherish forever.

Favorite detail
I loved how Amanda and Eric were introduced with their daughter into their reception as “The completed Kokernak family!”

Most emotional moment
Eric did a father-daughter dance with their daughter, Madalyn. It was adorable! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I could also see how close Amanda’s whole family was and how much she cared for them. During a slow dance when everyone joined on the dance floor, she grabbed her brother’s hand to dance with him, too.
