THE LOW-DOWN
We just love a well-executed Halloween wedding theme! That’s exactly what Brooke and Sean chose for their late October wedding at the Portofino Bay Hotel. It turned out to be such a unique and memorable event for the couple and their guests!
Brooke and Sean’s ceremony welcome sign read, “Welcome Foolish Mortals to Our Wedding,” setting the tone for their entire day. Elements like their haunted forest reception lighting, their black wedding cake, and the carved Frankenstein jack-o-lanterns at their sweetheart table kept the aesthetic going. From their black, red, and blue wedding color scheme to their Gothic décor, their Halloween wedding theme was thoughtfully designed and executed. We especially loved their trick-or-treat candy station!
Brooke’s bridal style also reflected their theme. She wore black pointed nails with her traditional white gown and carried an elaborate, Gothic style, cascading bouquet with red and Black Magic roses and red berry accents. It was the perfect look for their perfect day!

Did you have to pull out any wedding planner tricks for this event?
I assisted Brooke with answering her décor questions and helping her book her styling appointments. She was largely a DIY bride, so I advised her on little details to help make her vision a reality. Especially for couples who are handling these kinds of things themselves, getting the advice of professionals can be invaluable!

What was something about this wedding that really stood out to you?
I loved their Halloween wedding theme! They had a beautiful black cake and Dash of Class set up lighting to look like spooky trees around the room. It was really beautiful and unique to Brooke and Sean’s style.

What was something about this wedding that truly touched you?
Brooke and Sean wrote notes to each other to read before the ceremony and did a first touch, which was such a special moment. I also loved the room reveal! Brooke was so happy with the way her decorations turned out and literally jumped with joy! It was adorable to see the look on her face as she saw her vision come to life.
