Katrina and Daniel chose a classic black and white wedding theme for their romantic celebration at the Portofino Bay Hotel, and we absolutely loved it! These timeless tones felt perfectly at home against the venue’s grand Italian architecture, creating a day that was both elegant and deeply personal. Their February wedding brought together 113 guests from their hometown of Ocoee, Florida, all gathered to celebrate this stylish couple. Our team was honored to be part of their celebration as their Day-of wedding planners!
Katrina and Daniel made sure their black and white wedding theme shone through every detail of their day. Katrina looked stunning in her gown that feature lace detailing on the train, while Daniel matched the formal tone in his sleek black suit. Their ceremony was full of heart, featuring a meaningful hand tying ceremony and a very special “flower girl”—their adorable dog, who trotted down the aisle with tail wags and smiles from all.
One of our favorite personalized touches was their seating chart. Instead of a traditional board, Katrina and Daniel created a wall of envelopes, each containing a handwritten note on the back of a postcard for every guest. It was a heartfelt gesture that added a sweet, memorable moment for everyone in attendance.
Their reception décor stayed true to their black and white wedding theme with lush white rose arrangements accented by soft baby’s breath, which beautifully complemented the bold black and white checkered dance floor. The romantic floral paired perfectly with the Portofino Bay Hotel’s refined atmosphere and nods to Italian charm. As a fun and thoughtful favor, each guest received a small bottle of olive oil, tying the theme together with a taste of Italy to take home.
To close out the night, Katrina and Daniel treated guests to a lively martini bar before their grand sparkler exit. But they didn’t just wave goodbye—they rode off into the night on a boat, ending their unforgettable day with just the right amount of magic and flair.

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
Katrin and Daniel gave their guests miniature olive oil bottles as favors to their guests! It was such a unique idea and a great way to tie in the venue setting.
What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
The couple included a martini bar later in the evening! It was such a fun way to finish off the night with something special, and the guests all loved it!
