Elizabeth and Jordan’s Morning Wedding at The Grove Resort & Spa Orlando

THE LOW-DOWN

If you’ve ever wondered whether a morning wedding can be just as magical as a big evening celebration, Elizabeth and Jordan’s October wedding at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando is here to prove that it absolutely can! This Wisconsin couple traveled to Orlando to celebrate with 56 of their closest family and friends, and our Just Marry! team had the best time serving as their Day-of wedding coordinators. With a sunrise start, handmade LEGO flowers, a sweet nod to Disney and Pixar’s Up, and a trip to EPCOT to cap off the day, this one was relaxed, playful, and completely them.

This sweet couple had planned to say “I do” on the Lake Austin Pier, but the rain had other ideas, so the ceremony moved to The Grove’s weather backup ballroom. It turned out to be a lovely setting for a morning wedding, with a hexagon arch dressed in jewel-toned florals, a sweet first look with Elizabeth’s family, and a family-centered processional that included Elizabeth’s dad, Dan, along with the couple’s ring bearer and flower girl.

The details were so Elizabeth and Jordan. Their jewel-toned florals were handmade by the couple with help from Elizabeth’s sister-in-law, mixing playful LEGO flowers in teal, fuchsia, and gray with soft wood flowers for a one-of-a-kind, keepsake-worthy look. The ceremony florals were even repurposed at the head table later on! Subtle nods to Disney and Pixar’s Up appeared throughout the day, from the floating house guest book with signable wooden balloons to the cake topper, and they were exactly the kind of details that made guests smile. Their three-tier cake from Storybook Delights had a soft teal watercolor finish with flowers to match, and the flavors were just as pretty, with a vanilla tier with mixed berry compote and two lemon tiers with strawberry compote.

After cocktail hour, guests headed into the Tangerine Ballroom for a relaxed plated lunch, which is such a fresh change from the traditional evening reception. Elizabeth and Jordan skipped the formal dances and toasts to focus on quality time with their loved ones, sipped on signature drinks (a Lillet Wild Berry Spritz for Elizabeth and an Old Fashioned for Jordan), and did a photo dash early in the meal, visiting every table for a quick group photo so they would have a picture with each guest. As Disney Annual Passholders, they ended their wedding day exactly the way they wanted, celebrating at EPCOT with their guests!

OUR FAVE PICS FROM THE WEDDING

WHAT WE LOVED

The Just Marry! team was delighted to help Elizabeth and Jordan bring their morning wedding to life at The Grove! Here are just a few of the highlights their wedding planner, Jordan, shared about their big day:

What was something about this event that really stood out to you and made it different?

I loved that this was a morning wedding! A 10:00 AM ceremony was such a fresh change from a traditional evening reception.

Their décor made it feel so them. Elizabeth and Jordan made their own florals, mixing jewel-toned LEGO flowers with wood flowers. The LEGO flowers added a fun, playful pop of color, and the wood flowers gave everything a soft, romantic, handmade feel. Their ceremony florals also moved to the head table for the reception.

The subtle Up theme was such a sweet touch. It wasn’t over the top, but it was the kind of detail guests noticed and smiled at, and it fit perfectly for a couple who loves Disney as much as they do. As Annual Passholders, they ended the day by heading to EPCOT with their guests. It was the perfect way to keep celebrating!

What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?

Their morning ceremony and lunch reception is a growing trend for couples who want a more relaxed, intimate celebration. They also included a photo dash, visiting each table for a quick group photo early in lunch so they got a picture with every guest.

They also had signature drinks: Elizabeth’s was a Lillet Wild Berry Spritz and Jordan’s was an Old Fashioned. Their handmade jewel-toned LEGO flowers and wood flowers are a fun, keepsake-worthy alternative to fresh florals, and they gave the décor a creative, one-of-a-kind feel.
