The Magical WDW Swan Reserve Wedding of Heidi and Kevin
THE LOW-DOWN
When one of our sweet couples, Heidi and Kevin, told us they needed to change the date of their wedding after receiving life-changing news, our team immediately got to work. Together with our partners at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve and the rest of Heidi and Kevin’s incredible vendor team, we were able to change the date and make their wedding happen in just over a month. We are so happy it all came together just as they envisioned!
There were so many wonderful elements included in Heidi and Kevin’s wedding day, not the least of which were all the treasured moments they got to share with their guests. From their bright, summery floral to the cheerful flamingos decorating their reception, every detail reflected the couple, the season, and their wedding’s Central Florida location. We loved every part of it!
For this special “change the date” wedding, we asked the beautiful bride, Heidi, to share hers and Kevin’s love story with us. You won’t want to miss it, so be sure to read on!

THE LOVE STORY
The Just Marry! team was honored to help Heidi and Kevin change the date and have the wedding they wanted at the WDW Swan Reserve! In the spirit of change, we decided to change things up from our usual format. Rather than ask the couple’s planner, Mairead, for more details about the wedding, we went right to the happy bride!

How did you and Kevin meet?
We met back in 2009 at our local ski and snowboard shop in NY where we both worked while we were in college.

How did you know Kevin was “the one?”
I think Kevin and I both knew it was love right away. One time, his parents came into the store, and he said to his mom, “You see that girl over there? I’m going to marry her one day.” Back then, we were young and made bad decisions, and we messed it up and wound up with other people. But if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be! Kevin was always the one that got away, and I was the same for him. Ten years later, after no communication or social media interaction at all (because he didn’t have social media), we found each other again and picked up right where we left off, still crazy about each other.

Tell us about your engagement.
Kevin proposed to me inside of our RV, which was our first home together. We bought the RV and renovated it into a tiny home back in 2020. It’s our place.

What is your favorite memory you and Kevin have shared together?
We have made so many wonderful memories, it’s hard to pick one. But I’d have to say that purchasing, renovating, and starting our new life together in our RV tiny home has been our favorite adventure. In early 2020, we purchased an RV and spent a few months renovating it into a tiny home that we moved into in June, 2020. In September, 2020, we took off from where we were in Connecticut to head to Florida to start a whole new life together. The excitement around our new home, starting a new life in sunny beautiful Florida, our ever-growing love, and just the bright promise of the future has got to be our favorite memory together.

What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
My favorite part of our wedding day was at the end of our ceremony after our kiss. We just held each other for a few moments… With Kevin’s condition, it was one of the first times he and I had been able to hug in a long time. I wish I could live in that moment forever.
