Christy and Butch celebrated 25 years of marriage with a magical beach vow renewal at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. This happy West Virginia couple renewed their vows on the Swan’s white sand beach in the presence of their dearest family members and friends. It was a joyous summer event to remember!
We loved how Christy and Butch embraced their Disney venue with thoughtful elements that reflected the two of them. Their red and white wedding color scheme honored one of the most timeless romances of all…that of Mickey and Minnie Mouse! It tied in perfectly with their summer wedding attire, which in turn was just right for a beach vow renewal. They even brought DIY Mickey and Minnie inspired floral, which we thought was a sweet touch.

Favorite detail
Butch and Christy’s beautiful beach vow renewal took place on their 25th wedding anniversary to the date. Draped across their guest book table was a banner that read, “We Still Do.” It was just perfect!

A unique element I loved
Butch and Christy chose favors with their guests in mind. With many children at their ceremony, they provided custom bubble tubes and ribbon wands, custom fans for everyone to beat the heat, and customized bags of Goldfish Crackers (colored to match their wedding colors). It was such a thoughtful touch, as there was some time between their ceremony and dinner!

What the couple wore
Christy wore very unique lace “shoeless” sandals that looked so perfect for her beach vow renewal as she walked through the sand barefoot. It showed off her super cute red pedicure with hidden Mickeys in the polish! Butch and their sons wore Hawaiian style shirts in various colors, where, if you looked closely, each had unique and subtle Star Wars patterns.
