Maggie and Conner’s Balcony Wedding at the WDW Swan Reserve

THE LOW-DOWN

Maggie and Conner hosted their beautiful balcony wedding at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Reserve just a few days before spring last year. This Tampa couple ventured here to Orlando with their dearest loved ones for their romantic destination wedding. Our team couldn’t have been more honored to partner with them as their wedding planning and Day-of Wedding Coordination team!

The dusty blue, blush, and ivory wedding color scheme chosen by the couple perfectly reflected their late winter wedding date. It also looked amazing against the backdrop of the elegant Swan Reserve! Maggie resembled a princess from a fairytale in her off-the-shoulder lace ballgown, and Conner was every bit as regal in his black suit paired with a white shirt and tie. We also loved the ombre effect of the varying blue bridesmaids’ dresses!

One of the sweetest moments of the day was Maggie’s first look with her bridesmaids, as was her first touch with Conner. KMD Photo & Film captured these memories perfectly for the couple! We enjoyed the thoughtful, personal touches Maggie and Conner thought to include, as well, such as the dancing shoes for their guests (complete with shoe bags!) and the beverage napkins honoring their dogs, Piper and Lexi. These are the elements that made their day truly about them!

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed working with Maggie and Conner on their romantic balcony wedding at the WDW Swan Reserve! We asked their Day-of Wedding Coordinator, Ellis, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:

How was the planning process with the couple?

Jordan handled the planning and it went so well, but she unfortunately got sick right before the wedding day. I was happy to step in and help her and the couple bring all of their careful plans together on the big day!

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

The couple did a first touch! I don’t see this as often anymore, but I love that they incorporated it! It’s a great way for the couple to settle their nerves before the ceremony while also amping up their excitement and anticipation because they can’t see each other. I think First Touches are very sweet, and a modern twist on the “not seeing each other before ceremony” tradition. They are my personal favorite!

What trendy wedding elements did the couple include?

Maggie and Conner did a “Table Dash.” Before dinner was served, the DJ played a song (in this case, “Here We Go” by N’Sync), and the couple went to each guest table as fast as they could to get a picture. The goal was to complete the entire room of guests before the song ended. I think this is such a creative and fun way for couples to capture photos with their guests!

What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?

“Imagine” by Ben Platt.
