Elegant Disney Themed Wedding | Taylor and Matt at the WDW Swan Reserve

THE LOW-DOWN

Local Orlando couple Taylor and Matt had an elegant Disney themed wedding at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort last September. They celebrated their special day with nearly 100 of their dearest loved ones. It was a true pleasure for our team to be part of it as their Day-of Wedding coordinators! From their sage green, blue, peach, and white wedding color scheme to the live painter they hired for their reception, we thoroughly enjoyed the many thoughtful elements the happy couple chose to include.

We also loved that Taylor did a sweet first look with her mom, something we haven’t seen very often. She also had first looks with her dad and her bridesmaids, and each of them was so touching! Everyone gasped when they saw Taylor in her stunning lace wedding dress. She looked like she stepped right out of a fairytale!

You can’t have an elegant Disney themed wedding without plenty of Disney elements, so Taylor and Matt made sure to include them. Not only did they choose one of the most elegant Disney venues around, they had Mickey and Minnie groom and bride’s ears, Disney tableaus as their reception centerpieces, Mickey and Minnie themed cookies and Rice Krispie treats as favors, and a Mickey and Minnie cake topper. And, of course, as a Swan Reserve couple, they got to enjoy Disney fireworks as part of their entertainment!

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed working with Matt and Taylor on their elegant Disney themed wedding at the WDW Swan Reserve! We asked their wedding planner, Mairead, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:

Did pull any wedding planner tricks out of your hat for this event?

Yes…my double-sided tape really came in handy! The tops of the bride’s and mother of the bride’s dresses needed a little adjusting for the perfect fit. Fashion tape for the win!

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

Taylor and her mom, Laura, thrifted each one of the centerpieces, crafting them to resemble various Disney movies. They were so pretty and unique! I loved how they painted all of them to be the same color so they coordinated despite being different themes.

What was something about this event that truly touched you?

Matt was very emotional, which was so sweet! He even teared up during the rehearsal. You could really tell how much they love each other.

What trendy wedding elements did the couple include?

They hired a live painter, and it was so much fun to see the progress of the painting throughout the night! It is such a special element. Now they have a one-of-a-kind keepsake they will treasure forever.

What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?

“Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez.
