THE LOW-DOWN
Erika and Diego chose a Beauty and the Beast theme for their WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort wedding last April. Their event took place in the first week of April on a lovely spring day. The happy couple traveled all the way from New York for their destination micro wedding in Orlando. We were honored to be a part of it as their wedding planners!
We thought Erika looked just like a princess in her tiara, sweeping veil, and ballgown style wedding dress. She made the perfect “Belle!” And Diego was every bit her prince in his dapper black tuxedo and bow tie. They were simply adorable together!
There were so many fun ways that Erika and Diego captured their Beauty and the Beast theme. The red rose petals lining the aisle immediately brought to mind the Beast’s fading rose, and it coordinated perfectly with the decorative red rose enclosed in a cloche. It looked just like the one in the movie! Their custom Beauty and the Beast themed guest book also stood out, but their unity candle might just have been our favorite element! It read, “You don’t marry someone you can live with, you marry the person you can’t live without.”

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
This couple had a lot of memorable aspects to their wedding, starting with their Beauty and the Beast theme! They included so many thoughtful details that made their micro wedding so sweet and memorable. Even their custom-engraved unity candle matched the theme!
What was something about this event that truly touched you?
Coordinating this wedding made me realize how much I love what I do for a living! Moments before walking down the aisle, Erika was a little nervous. We took a moment to just breathe and talk up some confidence, nothing out of the ordinary. What really made me emotional is once they were married, our beautiful bride expressed how much that little moment of kindness and support meant to her. It shows how much our roles as wedding coordinators impact their big day!
