Christmas Wedding Theme | Katelyn and Steven at the WDW Swan Resort
Sweet couple Katelyn and Steven chose to have a Christmas wedding theme for their WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort wedding last year. From their December wedding date to their themed décor, they put so much thought and intention into their planning! We loved that this local Kissimmee couple also infused some fun Disney touches into their wedding design. It all came together into such a lovely, unique event!
There were many creative ways Katelyn and Steven reflected their Christmas wedding theme. Their wedding colors were the traditional Christmas favorites of red, green, and gold. Their altar décor included tall, frost-tipped Christmas trees, and they had mini-Christmas trees as their reception centerpieces. Red roses accented with holly berries and green pine needles served as additional Christmas accents, as did the pinecones throughout their décor. Even their reception tables were Christmas movie themed!
Among some of our favorite Disney elements were the Mickey and Minnie ears worn by Katelyn and Steven, the hidden Mickeys in Katelyn’s earrings, the words “And they lived Happily Ever After” scribed on the bottoms of the bride’s shoes, the couple’s Cinderella’s castle-themed guest book, and their stunning wedding cake covered in Mickeys and the words “Happily Ever After.” These were truly magical touches their guests loved!

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed helping Katelyn and Steven bring their Christmas wedding theme to life at the WDW Swan Resort! We asked their Just Marry! wedding planner, Ellis, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:
How did the planning process go with the couple?
It went so well! I made it my goal to offer them the assistance they needed to have a stress-free planning process and wedding day.
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
I loved their Christmas wedding theme! The festive color scheme, the bouquets, the red bridesmaids’ dresses, and the mini tree table numbers were some of my favorite details. The violinist even played classic Christmas songs. It was so creative and perfect for the season! My favorite little detail was the bride’s hair accessory. It had holly, pine, and other “Christmas tree” greenery in it! It was so cute.
What was something about the wedding day that truly touched you?
The couple was just SO kind! I really enjoyed the planning process with them. Their wedding day was so smooth and really filled my heart to the brim!
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
“Happily Ever After” by Jordan Fisher and Angie Keilhauer.
