THE LOW-DOWN
Bre and Alex chose burgundy wedding colors for their Orlando micro wedding at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort earlier this year. The happy couple ventured to Orlando from their hometown of Williamsburg, Michigan to celebrate their nuptials with their dearest loved ones. Their wedding date of 2-4-24 was one of the most popular dates of the year! While this is typically a lovely time of year to get married here in Central Florida, the weather didn’t exactly cooperate on the big day. But that didn’t stop everyone from having the time of their lives!
We loved how Bre and Alex accented their burgundy wedding colors with blush, white, and gold metallic. They captured their wedding color scheme through their floral and décor, their attire (we loved Bre’s burgundy wedding shoes!), and burgundy accent linens for their reception. It all came together in a look that was both trendy and timeless.
Bre and Alex also wanted to feature their love of Disney in their wedding choices. We enjoyed their Happily Ever After cake topper with Mickey and Minnie cutouts, as well as the Mickeys on the top tier of their wedding cake. And it isn’t a Disney wedding without the Mickey and Minnie groom and bride ears they brought along! Bre’s Beauty and the Beast rose tattoo was an amazing personal touch, too.

We thought Bre and Alex made some lovely choices in incorporating their burgundy wedding colors for their event at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort! Their ceremony coordinator, Kaitlyn, had a few more details she wanted to spotlight about the big day. This is what she shared:
How did everything go on the wedding day?
Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided to bring some rain on the wedding day, so we ended up having to make a rain call. Our team hopped into action, repurposing all the decorations from her original ceremony site (Crescent Terrace) to II Mulino. In the end, it turned out beautiful! We were able to use Il Mulino’s terrace for the mini reception and the couple got photos outside after the showers passed.
What was something about this event that truly touched you?
The speeches by both maids of honor. They were so sweet and included some fun personal notes!
What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
Bre and Alex had a QR code for their guests to scan so they could share photos with them in the form of a digital guest book. This was such a practical thing to do, especially for a destination wedding!
