THE LOW-DOWN
The beach chic wedding of Julia and Michael took place at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve in the early days of April last year. They traveled with their dearest family members and friends to Orlando from their hometown of Delray Beach, Florida for their Disney destination wedding. Our team was delighted to partner with them as their Day-of Wedding Planners!
It was important for Julia and Michael to include their love of Disney in their beach chic wedding. We adored their Orange Bird themed décor elements, including their guest seating “cards.” The personalized Walt Disney World plaque displayed on the couple’s sweetheart table was also a unique Disney touch. But the surprise visit from Mickey and Minnie was the sprinkling of Disney magic their guests seemed to enjoy the most!
Julia and Michael also included many beach chic wedding elements we enjoyed. Their wedding color scheme of white, green, blue, and orange perfectly captured the theme, as did the tropical floral and greenery accents in their floral and décor. Their wood-accented ceremony arbor gave beachy, driftwood vibes and added an organic element to the outdoor space. And the bright, tropical citrus fruits and tropical greenery decorating their wedding cake fully embraced the wedding’s overall vibe.

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed working with Julia and Michael to bring their beach chic wedding to life at the WDW Swan Reserve! We asked their wedding planner, Ellis, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
Julia and Michael both love Disney’s Orange Bird, so they included oranges in their décor and used faux oranges as their place cards. The guest’s names were printed on each orange leaf. I’d never seen anything like it, and it was so cute!
What fun elements did the couple include?
Mickey and Minnie Mouse provided entertainment for cocktail hour! This was the couple’s surprise to all their family and guests, and everyone loved it.
What treasured traditions did the couple celebrate?
They opened up the dance floor with “Hava Nagila” for their hora, which is one of my favorite moments in Jewish weddings!
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
“Happily Ever After” by Jordan Fisher and Angie K.
