THE LOW-DOWN

Reflecting their blended cultures in their wedding at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort was the focus for UK couple Neus and Mark. Their event took place in the early days of January, and they were blessed with so many of their loved ones in attendance! It was such a pleasure for our team to be part of their celebration as their event planners.

Neus wore one of the most unique and lovely wedding dresses we have ever seen! It was a sheath style gown with a vibrant floral print on the back. The colors truly popped and caught the eye. This also served as the inspiration for her wedding floral, which we thought was an amazing idea!

There were several fun ways Neus and Mark reflected their blended cultures in their wedding design. Neus is from Spain, which inspired the floral artwork on the back of her wedding dress. Mark, on the other hand, is Scottish, so he and his family members wore kilts. The happy groom also wore a traditional thistle boutonniere, and the couple included a hand-fasting as part of their ceremony. Adding to the multicultural festivities was the Spanish style dancing during their mini reception. It all came together in a truly personal and heartfelt celebration we’ll never forget!

How did the planning go with the couple?

It went so well! Neus and Mark wanted a simple and memorable wedding day experience, and that’s exactly what they got. I helped them pick out the perfect wedding vendors since they live in the UK, and having a strong vendor team always helps the wedding day go smoothly!

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

Neus matched her bouquet to a stunning pattern on the back of her dress. The bouquet was a beautiful nosegay of pink and orange flowers accented with greenery. The bright colors looked incredible in their photos!

What was something about this event that truly touched you?

How in love Neus and Mark were! They met at the Swan during a program they were in, so they chose to get married there. They were such a special couple and were so fun to work with. I was sad to say goodbye at the end of the wedding!
