Even as wedding planners, we’ve found ourselves researching ideas for wedding exits that don’t involve sparklers. After all, we want to help our couples find the perfect way to end their spectacular evening! While sparkler exits remain popular, I thought I’d offer some fun and unique twists on exits for your wedding.

#1 – SPECIAL EFFECTS
This just may be one of the most fun wedding exits I’ve ever seen! Using special effects such as bubble machines, faux-snow machines, and fog exits, you can create the perfect exit to fit your vision! Bubbles make for whimsical photos with all the colors reflecting off them.
Just imagine exiting your reception into a winter wonderland with a faux-snow machine! This idea can be even more fun if your wedding is taking place in a destination (like the sunny state of Florida!)
With fog machines and CO2 cannons, you can achieve the dreamy, romantic look of walking on a cloud as you exit into forever with the love of your life. It is truly heavenly! This elegant look will wow your guests and will be something they talk about forever.
#2 – LIGHTS
Light up the night for your wedding exit with glow sticks or fiber optic wands. This is especially fun for crowds who are going to an after-party! Your guests can cheer and wave their lights as you exit, making for awesome photos. From there, your guests can bring the wands with them to keep the party raging through the night!
These lights are great ways to add some color and fun to your event – especially for wedding exits taking place in the dark. Guests will love wearing the glow wands and waving the fiber optic wands, and you can keep the party going with this fun and electric idea!
#3 – ILLUMINATED BALLOONS
Balloons that light up make for creative night wedding exits, as they light up the way and cast such a magical glow over you both. It looks truly enchanting! It’s another fun takeaway for your guests as well, and keeps everyone involved having something to hold. Add something unexpected such as fireworks in the distance, and it will be a magical memory you will never forget!
#4 – STREAMER WANDS
A fun way to ring in the newlywed bliss is to have guests wave streamer wands with bells! The waving streamers provide a great photo op, and you can customize the streamers to the colors that match your wedding to compliment the theme!
Bells are such a classic and sweet touch for wedding exits, as well. This could be done exiting ceremony, or at the end of your event. It gets everyone excited and ready to cheer on the newlyweds!
#5 – FLOWER POWER
Flowers and flower petals are also great for wedding exits, either at the end of the night or just after the ceremony. Picture your guests showering you with floral as you walk out as a couple! It is such a romantic exit, and the photos always end up stunning!
BONUS TIP ABOUT WEDDING EXITS
After working so hard on finding the perfect wedding exit, be sure to get help from your band or DJ to keep guests hyped and excited for it. Making announcements to “stay until the end of the night for our surprise exit” or asking guests for their help at the end of night to cheer on the bride and groom during their special exit will help keep guests involved so you can have the perfect exit!
