THE LOW-DOWN
Canadian couple Carly and Dylan celebrated their wedding day at the beautiful Oasis at Paradise Cove on May 1st of this year. Their celebration was filled with love, laughter, and plenty of personal touches that made it truly one of a kind, especially their unique first dance!
Their design choices were a perfect blend of elegance and tropical charm. The couple’s black and white table décor created a striking contrast against Paradise Cove’s lush, lakeside setting. For the ceremony, tropical greens and blooming white orchids adorned their arch, adding a touch of natural beauty to the vibrant Florida backdrop. Carly’s bouquet tied the look together beautifully with matching orchids and soft tropical foliage.
Of course, no Florida destination wedding is complete without a touch of Disney magic. The couple included subtle nods to their favorite place on earth, such as a “Happily Ever After” welcome sign and a Mickey and Minnie guestbook. Dylan even 3D printed several décor elements himself, adding a fun, personal twist to their wedding details.
What guests will never forget, though, was Carly and Dylan’s unique first dance. Dylan kicked off the ceremony with a theatrical flair, dancing down the aisle dressed as The Greatest Showman complete with a cane and top hat. Later, the couple took the stage for a beautifully choreographed dance to “Rewrite the Stars.” Just when guests thought it was over, the music switched to “I Like to Move It,” surprising everyone and filling the dance floor with laughter and spontaneous dance moves. The playful moment perfectly captured their personalities and left everyone cheering.

What was something about this event that really stood out to you and made it different?
I loved the décor! The groom made a lot of it from a 3D printer, so it was neat seeing all the hard work he put into the details.
What was something about the wedding day that evoked emotion in you?
The Mother/Son Dance was “You’ll Be in My Heart”. This song holds a special place in my heart because it is the song I have with my mom. It will never get old!
What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
I loved the black and white theme for the tables! It added a nice, classy touch to the wedding and looked very clean.
