Kinsey’s gothic style wedding dress was the perfect statement piece for her and Matthew’s uniquely themed wedding at Royal Pacific’s Pacifica Beach this past November. This moody, romantic celebration perfectly reflected the couple’s personalities, blending elegance with playful nods to their favorite fandoms. With 10 of their closest friends and family joining them from their hometown of Davenport, the day felt meaningful, personal, and entirely true to who they are!
Their ceremony included a beautiful handfasting ritual, made even more special with ribbons adorned with tiny Universal-themed trinkets, a subtle and sentimental nod to their love of all things Universal Studios. At their reception, guests were greeted by adorable Universal Monsters dolls, adding a bit of spooky fun to the celebration and bringing some lighthearted charm to the day.
Of course, all eyes were on Kinsey in her gothic style wedding dress. The deep ivory tulle gown featured stunning black lace detailing, creating a bold yet romantic silhouette that was both dramatic and elegant. Her bouquet of dark red florals stood out beautifully against her gown, adding the perfect pop of color to her look.
After their ceremony, Kinsey and Matthew made their way through Universal Park for portraits, capturing magical moments throughout, including some stunning shots in front of the Harry Potter castle—perfect for two lifelong fans!

What fun traditions did the couple celebrate?
Kinsey and Matthew included a super sweet handfasting ceremony as part of their wedding day! To make it extra special, they tied in ribbons decorated with little Disney and Universal trinkets, even including a touch of pixie dust. It was such a magical way to celebrate their love story and all the adventures they’ve shared together!
What was something about the wedding day that evoked emotion in you and/or their guests?
During the ceremony, a few ducks decided to crash the wedding and lounged on the beach the entire time! It was such a funny and adorable surprise, and the couple absolutely got a kick out of it. It added a little extra charm and laughter to an already beautiful day!
