Local couple Chris and Steven had an elegant and whimsical enchanted forest wedding theme for their event at the Omni Orlando Resort-ChampionsGate. From a cheerful, wildflower-inspired color scheme to some incredible DIY event décor, these grooms truly thought of every detail to bring their wedding vision to life. It was an honor for our team to partner with them as their Day-of wedding coordinators and help make that vision a reality!
Chris and Steven’s late March ceremony and cocktail hour took place at one of the venue’s newest outdoor event spaces, the Sunset Terrace. It was the perfect location for an enchanted forest wedding theme! We loved that the couple made the event so special and unique with personal touches throughout. They even included their dog in their celebration! He was dressed in the most adorable suit and nearly stole the show.
We also enjoyed the many ways Chris and Steven chose to reflect their enchanted forest wedding theme. Their ceremony aisle was lined with tall stands topped with white floral, and they had a circular aisle arbor covered in lush greenery, flowers, and whimsical branches. The Sunset Terrace was separated into two event spaces using greenery walls that enhanced the forest-like atmosphere. Even the subtle floral detailing in the grooms’ suits and their trendy pocket boutonnieres fit the theme!
When guests transitioned into the ballroom space for the reception, the enchanted forest wedding theme greeted them there, too. The reception was filled with an abundance of vivid florals, lush greenery, and even some decorative birds. Among the couple’s wedding signage was a fairytale book, and a floral-and-butterfly- themed seating chart. It all came together in a stunning wedding design we won’t soon forget!

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed helping Chris and Steven bring their enchanted forest wedding theme to life! We asked their wedding planner, Ellis, a few questions about their big day and this is what she shared:
Was there an area in the couple’s planning where you felt most helpful?
Yes! Chris and Steven had a specific vision for their floral, but they understandably didn’t want to go over-budget. Also, since Chris made most of the items to be displayed in the ballroom during the reception, he wanted to be sure the florist understood his vision and could complement it well. I listened carefully to the couple’s vision and connected them with the perfect florist to bring that vision to life (and kept them on budget)!
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
I so enjoyed all of the floral and décor Chris designed for the ballroom! He brought in trees, little fairy scenes, and twinkle lights to capture their enchanted forest wedding theme. He worked so hard to create every little detail and it turned out beautiful!
Another unique touch was a custom video of the grooms sharing their story…what they loved about each other and how excited they were to be married. The DJ played it on a special screen on his booth during dinner. I thought this was a really creative way to share their love story with their guests!
What was something about the wedding day that truly touched you?
Their personal vows! Also, when Steven first saw his mom, he immediately started crying happy tears. You could tell she is so special to him.

What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
The grooms hired a belly dancer, which is such a fun and unique form of wedding entertainment! She opened up the dance floor with her performance and then encouraged the guests to join her. She even had a specific playlist and a custom costume to match the couple’s décor!
