Liz and Don had lots of fun wedding ideas for their spring wedding at the Omni Orlando Resort – Championsgate. This sweet Maine couple wanted to pay homage to Orlando for their destination wedding, so they made sure to include nods to Disney and Florida’s signature style. They also included elements that were truly personal to them, something we always love to see at weddings!
Among our favorite fun wedding ideas chosen by Liz and Don were the bride’s Minnie ears and veil, her custom wine glass and the couple’s custom toasting flutes etched with Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary logo, their creative table names, and the alma mater banners they brought along to share their school pride. We also loved the personalized tumblers they gave their guests as favors, decorated with palm trees and their wedding date. What a fun keepsake for everyone!
Liz and Don’s guests also got into the spirit of their special day. They gave touching and humorous toasts using props. It was a creative way to engage the room during a key reception moment and will surely be something the couple will never forget!

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed helping Liz and Don bring all their fun wedding ideas to life at the Omni Orlando Resort-Championsgate! We asked their Just Marry! wedding planner, Shannon, a few questions about their event and this is what she shared:
- How did everything go on the wedding day?
Everything for this wedding went very well! I had been working with this couple for quite some time and I talked to the bride often. I offered lots of support and encouragement throughout the day, just being there, offering help however I could, getting them water and drinks when needed and being their overall hype girl!
- What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
All of Liz and Don’s wedding guests came in from out of state to celebrate their wedding! They had college alumni as well as fellow teachers at the school where the bride works. The bride also had their college flag and current school banner at the wedding to use in their group photo, which added such a fun and special touch!
- What was something about this event that particularly touched you?
During the father daughter dance, the bride’s sisters, mother, and groom’s daughters all joined, and it became a sweet family dance. It was so sweet!
- Where did the couple stay for their wedding?
Omni Orlando Resort-Championsgate.
- What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
“It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
