Winter Wonderland Wedding | Sandra and Nick at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort

THE LOW-DOWN

New York couple Sandra and Nick held their Winter Wonderland wedding at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek last December. Their outdoor ceremony took place on the resort’s idyllic Upper Pool Deck followed by a reception in the Horizon room. Both event locations were perfect for an Orlando micro wedding!

Sandra looked spectacular in her romantic wedding dress with its long, puffed sleeves. Her veil was tipped in glittery rhinestones that reflected the light like ice, right in keeping with the couple’s Winter Wonderland wedding theme. Their blue, white, and silver wedding color scheme also captured their theme, as did the whimsical winter branches in their ceremony décor and the crystals and snowflake accents everywhere you looked. Nick and Sandra even got portraits taken with the resort’s beautiful holiday decorations!

This wouldn’t have been a Wyndham wedding without some fun Disney elements. Nick wore Mickey cuff links and Sandra used a Micky and Minnie themed hanger for her wedding dress. They also had a Disney-themed photo guest book, and they included a fun “Find the Hidden Mickeys” game, hiding Mickeys throughout the reception. Then they topped off the night with Disney’s fireworks from Horizon’s balcony. It was truly an event to remember!

The Just Marry! team had so much fun bringing Sandra and Nick’s Winter Wonderland wedding to life at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek! We asked their Orlando day-of wedding coordinator, Mairead, a few questions about the event day, and this is what she shared:

What can you share about the planning experience with the couple?

Sandra had a specific vision about her Winter Wonderland wedding, and she was incredibly organized! Everything she did throughout the planning process helped me and my team set everything up just as she wanted it on the wedding day. It couldn’t have gone any better!

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

I loved the drape they did behind their sweetheart table! I hadn’t seen pipe and drape in the Horizon room, so when they put it all up, it really pulled the room together.

What was something about this event that truly touched you?

Their vows! Nick and Sandra spoke about some special moments they have shared together, and they both got emotional. They have known each other since they were 13 years old, so they have really experienced life together!

What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?

“Lover” by Taylor Swift mixed with “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen.
