THE LOW-DOWN
If you’ve been searching for a unique send-off idea to wow your guests, look no further than Annie and Ryan’s beautiful May wedding at Evermore Resort. This Florida couple hosted their timeless celebration on the Boathouse Lawn, surrounded by serene water views and elegant details that perfectly captured the charm of a spring wedding. Their day blended classic sophistication with modern touches, creating a truly memorable event from start to finish.
Annie looked radiant in her sparkly embroidered lace gown, which shimmered beautifully in the Florida sunshine. The couple chose a classic black and white color palette that complemented the elegant setting of Evermore perfectly. During their ceremony, Annie and Ryan included a touching unity candle tradition with their parents, a heartfelt moment that symbolized the joining of two families and added a timeless element to their day.
The celebration continued with a stylish reception that showcased the couple’s attention to detail. From the custom bar napkins and signature drink display to the coded meal place cards at each guest’s setting, every design choice reflected a contemporary flair. As the night went on, glow sticks and cowboy hats made their way to the dance floor, keeping the energy high and the guests smiling all night long!
But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly their unique send-off idea featuring a staged boat departure on Evermore’s crystal-clear blue water. As their guests waved from the shoreline, Annie and Ryan shared one final moment together under the cloudy afternoon light. It was not only a perfect photo opportunity but also an unforgettable ending to a beautiful ceremony.

WHAT WE LOVED
The Just Marry! team was honored to be part of Annie and Ryan’s wedding at Evermore resort as their Day-of wedding planners! We asked their planner, Ellis, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:
What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
Trendy elements included glow sticks and cowboy hats for the dance floor, a staged boat send-off, a signature drink display with custom bar napkins and stirrers, and coded meal place cards at each guest setting—these details gave a contemporary flair to a classically elegant black-and-white wedding.
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
The couple included a staged boat send-off during cocktail hour—such a fun and unique feature! It not only gave them a private moment to take in the day, but it also delighted guests and provided a beautiful photo op. Their thoughtful signature drinks and personalized matchbook and lotto ticket favors added special, memorable touches too.
What was something you did during the couples’ planning or on their wedding day that “saved the day”?
On the day of the wedding, we closely monitored the weather forecast and worked proactively with the venue to ensure clarity and confidence for the rest of the day. Coordinating the potential backup ceremony in the Magnolia Ballroom was a key factor in giving the couple peace of mind, but in the end we were able to have the ceremony outside! Additionally, escorting the bride and her father to the ceremony site via the trolley ensured she wasn’t seen by guests beforehand—preserving a special, private moment and the emotional impact of her entrance.
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
