THE LOW-DOWN
There is something incredibly special about a family-inclusive vow renewal, and Jennifer and Chris’s celebration at Paddlefish this July was the perfect example. Visiting from New York with their two daughters, the couple chose to mark this milestone in a way that felt intimate, joyful, and truly their own.
The color palette set the tone for a vibrant summer ceremony. Bright shades of orange and pink brought the day to life, with Jennifer’s bouquet featuring cheerful pink roses and daisies that added the perfect pop of color. She looked beautiful in her mid-length lace dress, the ideal mix of casual elegance. Chris opted for a relaxed summer look with shorts and a polo, which matched the sunny, laid-back vibe of the entire day.
Before heading to Disney Springs for their ceremony, the family stopped at Disney’s Grand Floridian to capture portraits among its timeless Victorian charm. These photos brought an elevated touch to the day and created a lovely contrast with the modern, nautical setting of Paddlefish.
One of the most meaningful parts of their ceremony was the hand fasting ritual, made even more heartfelt by having both daughters participate. Watching the four of them join hands and symbolically bind their connection was a beautiful moment that truly embodied the spirit of a family-inclusive vow renewal.

The Just Marry! Team loved helping Jennifer and Chris bring their family-inclusive vow renewal to life at Paddlefish! We asked the couple’s wedding planner, Sara, a couple of questions about the event, and here is what she shared:
What fun traditions did the couple celebrate?
They included a beautiful handfasting ceremony, and what made it even more special was that their children took part in it as well. It became a heartfelt family moment where everyone was symbolically “tied together,” creating a memory that honored both their love story and the bond they share as a family!
What was something you did during the couples’ planning or on their wedding day that “saved the day”?
They finished photos earlier than expected and Paddlefish was not open for another 30 minutes. The kids were getting very hungry, so we canceled the reservation at Paddlefish and secured a new one at The Boathouse. This allowed the family to head in right away and enjoy a meal without the long wait!
