Terri and Joseph chose to have their ceremony face the opposite direction of what we usually see at Paddlefish. The doors that we would typically have guests and the wedding party walk through, they opted to have shut. We hung floral clusters from each door and used that area as the altar. The couple exited from opposite side doors of the dining area and walked around the bow, then down the aisle towards the doors. It was a fun way to switch things up and make it their own! Terri chose the “Steamboat Willy” theme song to be played as the first song in the processional, and it paired so well with their steamboat wedding venue.

The couple’s harpist, Christine MacPhail, played so many wonderful songs that the couple had requested, but one very fun moment was when she was taking song requests from Terri’s and Joseph’s daughters. One of them requested “Old Town Road,” and Christine played it! Now we can all say we’ve heard a harp rendition of a Lil Nas X song!

Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Terri and Joseph booked the Princess Rooms where you can press a button and fireworks go off throughout the bed frame, which they thought would be special for each of their daughters!
