Madeline and Kohner’s Shades of Green wedding took place last summer in mid-July. Just Marry! Sales and Event Manager, Emylie Rose, had the pleasure of partnering with the couple as their Day-of Wedding Coordinator. She was honored to work with them and bring all of their carefully made wedding plans to life on the big day!
The bride wore a beautiful lace wedding dress with a flattering sweetheart neckline. The dress also had pockets, a feature we adore! Madeline’s dress truly made an impact, as everyone else was dressed in black. As you might have guessed, the couple’s wedding color scheme was black and white. We thought this was such a timeless choice!
Madeline and Kohner wisely opted for an indoor ceremony and reception for their Shades of Green wedding. We always recommend that couples opt for indoor wedding venues during the hot (and often rainy!) Florida summers. It showed some consideration for the comfort of their guests, as did the fun dancing slippers they provided. These were sweet and thoughtful touches that spoke to what a lovely couple they are.

The Just Marry! team so enjoyed working with Madeline and Kohner on their Shades of Green wedding! We asked their wedding planner, Emylie, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
Madeline and Kohner asked all of their guests wear black. I thought this was such a unique and elegant choice! The monochromatic look made their photos really pop.
What modern or trendy wedding elements did the couple include?
They included black anemones in their floral, which I don’t see very often. It’s a flower that symbolizes anticipation, which seemed perfect for a wedding! They also had black candelabras as part of their décor. I thought they added an extra touch of sophistication to the reception space.
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
“Those Eyes” by New West.
Where did the couple stay for their wedding?
Shades of Green Resort.
