Harry Potter Wedding | Ashley and Dylan at the Royal Pacific Resort
Ashley and Dylan held their Harry Potter wedding at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in late January of this year. The happy couple traveled to Orlando from their hometown of Windsor, Ontario in Canada for their winter wedding. They chose to hold their intimate ceremony on the resort’s white sand beach before transitioning to a glamorous ballroom reception.
We loved all the Harry Potter touches these literary fans included in their wedding. From the Ravenclaw blue color accents to the paper floral made with book pages, there was so much to enjoy! Favorite detail
Ashley and Dylan incorporated their love of Harry Potter in several details throughout the day. They had flowers in the bouquets and boutonnieres made out of pages of Harry Potter books. They used scarves from each house as table runners for their cocktail hour. They even took photos in the parks after their reception! As a fellow Harry Potter fan, I loved every detail!

Most emotional moment
Ashley did a first look with her father right before the ceremony. Only the photographer, Ashley’s mother, and I were there. It was such a special, intimate moment, and there wasn’t a dry eye around! Her father was so proud of his daughter and how beautiful she looked as a bride.

A nontraditional choice made by the couple
The couple didn’t have a DJ. Instead, they had the groom’s brother act as their emcee for their reception. It was such a special way to include their family members in the festivities!

Fave part of the planning process with the clients
Ashley and I both bonded over our love of Harry Potter. I was so excited when she told me about their plans to take photos in front of Hogwarts castle in Universal’s Islands of Adventure after their wedding!

The bridesmaids’ dresses all had pockets. The ladies loved them!
