A fall wedding cake moment this sweet deserves its own spotlight, and Jessica and Nate’s October wedding at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress at Cypress Pointe delivered all the cozy, romantic vibes we love about an autumn celebration. As their day-of wedding coordinators, we had the absolute joy of bringing all of their thoughtful details together for a day that felt warm, personal, and effortlessly elegant.
Jessica and Nate are Florida locals who embraced the season in the prettiest, most subtle way. Their color palette of blue, white, and gold set a timeless foundation, while gentle fall touches added just the right amount of seasonal charm. One of our favorite details was Jessica’s bouquet, which featured blue hydrangeas paired with the cutest small white pumpkins that popped beautifully against the soft florals.
Their romantic fall-inspired theme continued throughout the day with warm tones, natural textures, and cozy accents that felt right at home within the Hyatt’s elegant spaces. From gold details to soft white pumpkins sprinkled throughout the decor, every choice felt intentional and reflective of the couple’s style. And yes, their fall wedding cake absolutely stole the show! The cake featured a modern design accented with pumpkins and blue hydrangeas, tying together their color palette and seasonal theme in the sweetest way.
Instead of sticking to a traditional reception timeline, Jessica and Nate opted for a more relaxed and seamless flow. They skipped formal announcements like the cake cutting and instead focused on keeping the party going. Guests enjoyed personalized late-night bites, mini desserts, and signature cocktails that added a fun, modern twist. A spicy margarita was crafted just for the bride, while the groom’s drink of choice was a classic old fashioned.
And because no celebration is complete without a little personality, the couple found the most adorable way to include their cat in the festivities. They had their pet illustrated as a mini bride and groom, which appeared on cocktail hour signage and their signature drink displays. Guests absolutely loved this playful and personal touch, and it quickly became a favorite detail of the day.

What was something about this event that really stood out to you and made it different?
The couple incorporated a romantic, fall-inspired theme with warm tones and natural textures, which felt beautifully cozy within the venue’s elegant spaces. The small details, such as their use of white pumpkins and gold accents, added a personal touch that perfectly reflected their style.
What modern or trendy elements did the couple include?
The couple chose to skip some traditional announcements (like cake cutting) in favor of a more relaxed and seamless reception flow. They also included personalized late-night bites, mini desserts, and signature cocktails, a spicy margarita for the bride and an old fashioned for the groom, which added a fun, modern flair.
What was something you did during the couples’ planning or on their wedding day that “saved the day”?
During photos, the bride’s dress ripped just before she was scheduled to head into the reception. I was able to quickly grab safety pins from my emergency kit and pin the dress back together so she could continue photos and head into the reception seamlessly!
