Fairytale Wedding | Kara and Nick at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort
THE LOW-DOWN
Kara and Nick’s fairytale wedding took place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in late February. This Staten Island couple took advantage of Florida’s beautiful winter weather to host their entire wedding outdoors. It looked like a romantic wonderland, especially at night!
We loved Kara’s royal arrival in a white horse and carriage. It had her guests (and her groom!) in complete awe! She looked like a princess out of a fairytale in her lacy, mermaid style wedding gown. The hidden Mickeys in her bouquet completed her bridal look and were perfect for a magical Disney wedding.
Some of the other fairytale elements we enjoyed were the couple’s Mickey and Minnie stationery, their Happily Ever After cookie favors, their “Be Our Guest” guest book, and their crystal Cinderella-themed cake topper. These were subtle Disney touches that really brought their whole wedding design together. And featuring a couple of signature drinks named after their beloved pooches? That added some extra personal flair we adored!

What was something about this wedding that really stood out to you?
I loved that Kara and Nick had their reception out at the Crescent Terrace! It was so stunning and romantic at night with all the lighting and candles. They could even see the fireworks at Epcot at the end of the night, which was the perfect way to end their perfect day. I also loved how Kara got a horse and carriage for her entrance! She truly looked like a princess. 🙂

How did the day go? Any “surprises?”
Considering all the moving parts in this incredible wedding, everything went really well. After the ceremony, though, we noticed the groom’s boutonniere experienced some wear and tear. Luckily, thanks to the preparedness of Raining Roses, we were able to have an extra readily available for him!

What touched you the most about this wedding?
Before Nick even got outside for the wedding party lineup, he got so emotional! His reaction when he saw Kara walking down the aisle was priceless, and definitely made everyone tear up!
