THE LOW-DOWN
Our team had the pleasure of working with Abby and Parker on their classic black-and-white wedding at Evermore Resort this May. Just Marry! While a rainy forecast meant a few adjustments to the original plans, the day unfolded beautifully and became a wonderful reminder that some of the most memorable weddings happen when couples embrace the unexpected!
Abby and Parker planned a timeless celebration filled with elegant details and meaningful personal touches. The couple chose a sophisticated black-and-white color palette that was reflected throughout the day, from their décor selections to their wedding party attire. Abby looked absolutely gorgeous in a classic white wedding gown featuring stunning lace train detailing, while the bridal party kept things chic and coordinated in all-black attire. The overall aesthetic felt both refined and romantic, perfectly complementing the atmosphere of Evermore Resort.
Although the couple had originally planned to exchange vows outdoors at the Boathouse Lawn, Central Florida weather had other plans. After carefully monitoring the forecast, the decision was made to move the ceremony indoors to the Boathouse Ballroom. The ballroom provided a beautiful setting for the ceremony!
One of the most touching moments of the day was the couple’s private vow exchange. Abby and Parker intentionally chose to keep this moment entirely to themselves, without audio recording or guests nearby, allowing them to be fully present with one another before the celebration began. It was a meaningful reflection of their relationship and created a truly emotional start to the day.
We also loved the many personalized details incorporated throughout the wedding. Parker is a pilot, so the airplane propeller guest book was a standout feature that immediately caught guests’ attention. The couple also included custom drinkware featuring their dog, elegant mirror signage, personalized ornaments that doubled as place cards, and other thoughtful details that made the celebration feel uniquely theirs.
The reception was filled with classic wedding traditions, including a romantic first dance to “You’re Still the One” by Music Travel Love, parent dances, heartfelt toasts, and a generations dance that brought family members together on the dance floor. Guests enjoyed a beautiful three-course plated dinner before celebrating late into the evening.
As the night came to a close, Abby and Parker treated their guests to an unforgettable finale. Friends and family gathered for a fun glow stick send-off before the newlyweds boarded the iconic Chris Craft boat at Evermore Resort. The combination of colorful lights, excited guests, and a boat departure across the water created a magical ending to an already incredible day.

WHAT WE LOVED
The Just Marry! team was honored to be part of Abby and Parker’s wedding at Evermore resort as their Day-of wedding planners! We asked their planner, Ellis, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:
Were there any planning “pain points” you helped address for the clients?
Yes, one of the biggest potential stressors was the weather. Our team, in collaboration with the wonderful Evermore staff, worked closely and swiftly to make the rain backup plan feel just as intentional and beautiful as the original. When the final rain call came in, we transitioned the ceremony indoors to the Boathouse Ballroom. Everything came together seamlessly! And in a lovely twist of fate, the rain held off just long enough for the couple to take all their cherished photos outside before the ceremony, exactly as they’d hoped. It was a shining example of teamwork and timing coming together for a truly joyful result!
What was something about this event that really stood out to you and made it different (i.e., a unique theme or décor element, something the couple wore, something someone said or did, a special request the couple made, etc.)
The airplane propeller guest book was both charming and symbolic, reflecting that Parker is a pilot. The mirrored seating chart and personalized water cups (of their dog) brought chic personalization into every guest touchpoint. The glow stick and boat exit also made the finale magical.
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
