Ashlee and Ricky’s Burgundy and Navy Wedding at Evermore Resort

THE LOW-DOWN

Ashlee and Ricky tied the knot a year ago in January with an intimate gathering of 53 guests on Evermore’s Boathouse Lawn, right by the water. The setting alone set the tone for a romantic and relaxed day, but it was their thoughtful details and warm, family-centered vibe that truly made their wedding unforgettable.

Their burgundy and navy blue wedding color palette was woven seamlessly throughout the day. Ricky and his groomsmen looked incredibly sharp in sleek navy blue suits, finished with boutonnieres featuring a pop of rich red. Ashlee absolutely stunned in her embellished wedding gown, carrying a lush burgundy bouquet accented with soft neutral tones that added depth and texture. The ceremony arch was a showstopper, framed by the water and adorned with burgundy and navy roses nestled into lush greenery, an elegant contrast that photographed beautifully!

The ceremony itself felt heartfelt and personal, perfectly fitting the intimate guest count. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Ashlee and Ricky exchanged vows with the peaceful waterfront as their backdrop, making the moment feel both elevated and deeply personal.

When it came time to celebrate, this burgundy and navy blue wedding continued to shine at the reception. Their sweetheart table popped in the ballroom with a luxurious burgundy satin linen, adding just the right amount of drama while still feeling warm and inviting. Dinner was anything but traditional—in the best way! We loved how the couple opted for a family-style meal, which made the evening feel like a cozy Italian dinner at home, encouraging conversation, laughter, and connection around every table.

Dessert was where things really got playful. Instead of a classic wedding cake, Ashlee and Ricky treated their guests to an ice cream bar complete with customizable flavors and toppings. To make it even better, fresh waffles were made on the spot, turning dessert into a full-on experience that guests are surely still talking about.

To cap off the night, the couple shared a magical sparkler exit before hopping aboard Evermore’s Chris Craft boat for a truly grand finale. It was the perfect ending to a day that balanced elegance, personality, and fun.

WHAT WE LOVED

The Just Marry! team was honored to be part of Ashlee and Ricky’s wedding at Evermore resort as their Day-of wedding planners! We asked their planner, Diandra, a few questions about the big day, and here is what she had to say:

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

They served dinner family-style, which instantly made it feel like a big, cozy Italian meal at home with everyone passing plates and chatting around the table. For dessert, they skipped the traditional cake and went with an ice cream bar instead, which was such a hit. Guests got to build their own ice cream creations with tons of toppings, and the fresh waffles made right there were the ultimate cherry on top. It was relaxed, interactive, and full of personality—so perfectly them!

What was something about the wedding day that evoked emotion in you, the clients, and/or their guests?

One of the most emotional moments of the day came from the bride’s first looks. She shared two incredibly special ones, the first with her six-year-old son, which was so sweet it instantly brought tears to my eyes. But the first look with her grandfather truly stole the show! She surprised him with a tie to wear as he walked her down the aisle, and woven into the back of the fabric was a photo of the two of them from when she was a child. The moment he saw it, he was overcome with emotion and immediately started crying. It was such a beautiful, heartfelt moment that left everyone feeling all the love!

What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
