Universal Studios Wedding Orlando | The Portofino Wedding of Jeff and Marty
The Universal Studios wedding of Jeff and Marty took place at the spectacular Loews Portofino Bay Hotel last February. Theirs was a quite and touching event, just the two of them and one of their dearest friends. It turned out to be one of our team’s favorite weddings to date!
We enjoyed the simple, romantic ceremony performed by their officiant, Shawn Garvey. This was a wedding that reminded us that love is what it’s all about! Read on to learn more about this amazing couple’s Portofino wedding.

Favorite detail
This was actually one of my favorite weddings ever to plan and coordinate! Jeff was really easy to work with from beginning to end. On the day of the wedding, both Jeff and Marty looked so dashing. They were calm and so ready to get married. I enjoyed every moment working with them!

Most emotional moment
Jeff and Marty had a beautiful ceremony. Their vows made everyone cry. Both Tab and Shawn said in all their years of working in weddings, Jeff and Marty’s vows were the best they’d ever heard. It was a perfect day!

Another touching detail
One of the grooms’ long-time friends found out about their wedding the Friday before and flew down from Washington, D.C. on the day of their wedding so that she could see it. She was their only guest.

After the ceremony
After Jeff and Marty went around the Portofino for their post-ceremony portraits, they had their reception dinner at BiCE (I pulled some strings to get them a good table on the back terrace). They were delighted by how everything went, and I was honored to be a part of their big day!
