THE LOW-DOWN
Winter Park couple Madalyn and Zachery chose a soft blue wedding theme for their late spring wedding at Reunion Resort. We thought it was the perfect choice for their early June event! This choice was all the more special because Madalyn absolutely fell in love with the soft blue floral print dresses she chose for her bridesmaids, and that inspired her entire wedding color scheme. What a wonderful element to inspire the design of the most important day of their lives!
After getting ready with their wedding party in one of the glamorous Reunion Mansions, Madalyn and Zachery exchanged their vows in the idyllic setting of the resort’s Linear Park. They then transitioned with their guests to an indoor cocktail hour and reception inside the hotel to escape the warm weather. We thought Madalyn’s beautiful, sleeveless wedding dress with its trendy bow and Zachery’s equally trendy blue suit were excellent choices considering the locale and outside temperature. They looked amazing!
The couple’s soft blue wedding theme was apparent throughout their day. Not only did the wedding party dress to the theme, the couple did their emotional first look in front of the blue background of Grande Falls. They had blue and white florals for their personal flowers and centerpieces. Soft blue linens were topped with blue taper candles and table numbers. And the couple even had light-up ice cubes, which we thought was such a fun touch!

Did you do any planning troubleshooting with the couple?
I did! Madalyn some trouble finding the best floorplan for their guest count. She wanted the event inside Eleven (their reception space) due to the hot summer weather, so I helped her configure the best layout to fit their guests and their 10-piece band. On the wedding day, we walked the space with the band and they decided they did not need a stage, which gave us the option to host more tables inside. Thankfully, we were able to fit everyone in the air-conditioning and have the layout the couple wanted!
