Disney Wedding Theme | Erica and Kris at the WDW Swan and Dolphin
Arizona couple Erica and Kris chose a Disney wedding theme for their November wedding at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. We thought it was the perfect choice for this Disney wedding venue! From the hidden Mickeys in their wedding flowers and wedding cake to the Mickey balloons they incorporated into their wedding photos, there were so many fun Disney elements to enjoy!
Erica and Kris’s wedding color palette of wintery gray-blue, red, and ivory perfectly suited their Disney wedding theme, the season, and the venue. Other elements that really captured their theme was their Cinderella cake topper, the Mickey themed cookies served with their cake, and the Cinderella etched acrylic sign and photo they used to decorate their cake table. We loved every Disney touch!
Making this couple’s wedding even more special was their decision to have an Orlando micro wedding with only a few guests. This decision wasn’t only wise due to the pandemic, it allowed them to really enjoy much more quality time with the people closest to them. Their intimate, Disney themed wedding was an experience none of them will ever forget!

Favorite detail
The unity rose ceremony the couple performed during their ceremony was truly special. Their officiant, Teresa Knox, talked about the symbolism of the rose and the water and how they need one another to grow – just as a marriage does. The couple then promised that every year on their anniversary, Kris will present Erica with a rose, and she will present him with the vase filled with water to show their never-ending dedication to their marriage. It was so unique, and everyone loved it!

A nontraditional choice made by the couple
This couple decided to host a micro wedding with just the groom’s parents and the bride’s friends in attendance. It was so beautiful to see the love and support Erica and Kris shared with the people that mean the most to them on this important day.

A unique element I loved
I loved the crystal Mickey head pins that the bride incorporated into her bouquet, boutonniere, and even the unity rose. It was simple and subtle, yet a lovely accent to their Disney wedding theme.
