There are many different options these days for entertainment that you can offer your guests. These unique wedding reception ideas will definitely give your guests something to talk about!

#1 – Hire a caricature artist
Everyone can take a regular photo of themselves at a wedding, but how many can get a custom caricature? Hiring a caricature artist is one of my favorite unique things to do at a wedding reception. The best part? Your guests will get a fun keepsake to take home with them!
#2 – Reserve a Late-Night Bites food truck
If your venue can accommodate it, why not hire a fun local food truck to surprise guests at your reception? There are many different kinds of food trucks out there, from unique dessert trucks to trucks that specialize in french fries or finger foods. This will give guests a different feel versus the standard wedding dinner, and this unique late-night snack will give your guests more energy to fill the dance floor!
#3 – Set up lawn games
Lawn games are one of those unique things to do at a wedding reception that will entertain guests who aren’t out on the dance floor. You can set these up if you have an outdoor lawn or patio space at your venue, and guests can enjoy them at their leisure! Corn hole, giant Jenga, and croquet are great examples of fun lawn games.
#4 – Hire a live artist
Hiring a live artist to paint your ceremony or reception space is such a unique wedding reception idea. It will give guests an opportunity to watch beautiful art come to life, and you will be able to keep a one-of-a-kind keepsake!
#5 – Have a cigar bar
Give your wedding some distinction and sophistication by having a cigar bar. You can even coordinate drink pairings with each cigar to make it more interactive!

You might think photo booths shouldn’t be on a list of unique things to do at a wedding reception, but there really are so many unique options now. There are 360 photo booths, digital photo booths, selfie booths, video booths…the list goes on! Photo booths of any type are certainly a hit at any wedding reception. You can go wrong with renting one!
