THE LOW-DOWN

It was such a pleasure for our team to help plan a romantic surprise engagement at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel this past July! Christian chose to propose to his girlfriend, Monica, on her birthday, making it a double gift. It was all the more special because their closest family members and friends were right there to be part of it!

We thought the red and pink color scheme chosen for the surprise proposal was perfect for Monica, a romantic at heart. The colors really popped against the cooler blue hues of their venue, BACÁN. It turned out so beautifully in the photos captured by KMD Photo and Film!

WHAT WE LOVED

The Just Marry! Team loved being part of Christian’s surprise engagement to Monica! We asked their proposal planner, Jordan, a few questions about the big moment and this is what she shared:

What inspired this surprise engagement’s theme?

I helped Monica’s boss (and friend), Kim, create the design for the surprise engagement. She wanted it to be as romantic as possible, which I wholeheartedly supported! We decided to fill the space with tons of red and pink roses, candles, and gold accents, placing everything strategically to create a space for the proposal that would make Monica the full center of attention. Everyone kept saying how stunning it all was!

What was most memorable to you about the event?

Monica had no idea it was coming until she saw everything set up and truly just perfect for her. She could not hold back the tears when Christian got on his knees and proposed! Monica and Christian’s whole family got to join in, too, and celebrated each moment with them. It was so sweet!

How did Monica react when she realized Christian was proposing?

She let out a scream of excitement and got so emotional! It was so much fun to witness. She could not wait to show off her new ring, as well. I couldn’t blame her…it was gorgeous!
