The stunning November wedding of Melanie and Nate took place at The Alfond Inn last fall. This sweet couple chose to get married right in their hometown of Winter Park, Florida, and they picked the perfect venue! Their guests were WOWed by The Alfond’s many historic touches as well as all of the unique elements Melanie and Nate thought to include in their big day.
We thought the couple chose the ideal seasonal wedding color palette for their November wedding. Their floral included tones of fuchsia, burnt orange, light pink, ivory, mustard yellow, light green, and dark purple accented with dark greenery. They enhanced and elevated the overall wedding design through warm gold metallics and romantic candles. It was a true delight for the senses!
Melanie wore three gowns on her special day, and she looked incredible in all of them! She started the day in a beautiful ballgown with a crystal-beaded bodice for the ceremony, changed into a sleek sheath gown for dancing during the reception, and donned a gorgeous red cheongsam (a traditional Chinese gown) to finish the night. It was a spectacular way to bring some of her traditions and culture into such an important occasion!

Favorite detail
Every. Single. Detail. Melanie thought of every fine detail for her wedding day, and it showed! From Jamie painting the ceremony scene and champagne hedge walls greeting guests at the cocktail hour, to sparklers and a 12-piece band, this couple completely WOWed their guests. The entire day was stunning and every corner thought out. It was truly a fully immersive experience for their guests!

Most emotional moment
There were so many emotional moments throughout the day since this wedding happened 581 days after their originally planned wedding date. Among some of the most memorable were Melanie’s first look with her father, her first look with her groom, Nate, the live singing by Melanie’s cousin during the ceremony processional, Melanie’s father’s welcome speech at the reception, and most of all, when the time came to say goodbye to this couple at the end of the night. When you’ve been planning such an extremely impressive wedding for the most incredibly deserving couple for so long, it is so difficult to say goodbye once it finally arrives and is orchestrated exactly how they have been dreaming!
