Arielle and Daniel had some fun Harry Potter wedding ideas for their Portofino Bay Hotel in mid-October last year. We always enjoy a wedding theme, and this was no exception! This happy Gryffindor-Slytherin couple decided to keep their love for Harry Potter present but subtle in their wedding design. We thought it turned out perfectly!
This was Just Marry! wedding planner, Kerrigan’s, first event as lead coordinator. Read on to learn how it went, and everything Kerrigan enjoyed about this memorable event!

The Just Marry! Team greatly enjoyed helping Arielle and Daniel include their Harry Potter wedding ideas in their Portofino wedding! Here’s what their Just Marry! coordinator, Kerrigan, shared about their event:
- Favorite detail
Their card box and finger paint “guest book” were adorable! They matched the Harry Potter color scheme perfectly. The guest book was a poster of the Whomping Willow from Harry Potter and guests were encouraged to stamp their fingerprint on the tree with either Gryffindor Red or Slytherin Green and sign their name next to it. I loved that they left with such a wonderful keepsake!
- Most emotional moment
The most emotional moment for me was helping the bride and her dad walk down the aisle. It was a windy day, so I held the bride’s dress and veil up until she reached the aisle runner. This was my first day being a lead coordinator, so assisting Arielle walk down was very emotional!
- Fave part of the planning process with the clients
After this wedding was turned over to me by my Visionary Team partner, Leanna, the bride added on quite a few services. It was nice to work with her on finding exactly what she needed for her big day including a violinist, flower arrangements, and hair and makeup choices. It was a fun experience for both me and the bride!
