Sweet Jacksonville couple Darnelle and Erik chose the stunning golf course wedding venue, Dubsdread, for their Orlando wedding. The Just Marry! team had the honor of partnering with them as their Day-of Wedding Coordinators, and we were so excited to celebrate with them! Theirs was a gorgeous spring wedding with so many incredible details we wanted to share.
Darnelle and Erik chose classic Florida colors for their wedding color scheme. We thought their colors perfectly captured the vibe of their Orlando golf course wedding venue! The couple included touches of deep green, soft peach and bright orange, and gold and greenery accents throughout their décor. It was such a thoughtful, well put together design!
This wedding also had many elegant elements we loved, starting with the couple’s attire. The bride’s beautiful off-the-shoulder lace dress and pearl-covered Badgley Mischka shoes were accented with a timeless pearl necklace and matching hair clip. The groom wore a trendy blue suit with a gray tie while his groomsmen wore gray suits with green ties, which we thought was a nice way to distinguish him. They both looked amazing!
From the Boho accents included in their personal floral to their creative banquet style reception table setup, Darnelle and Erik made sure their wedding reflected them and their style. Their triangular ceremony arbor couldn’t have been more ideal for their golf course wedding venue, as well! It framed the golf course behind them as they exchanged their vows, serving as the perfect focal point in their photos.

Did you have to pull out any wedding planner tricks on the big day?
Fortunately, no! This was a rare wedding where everything went smoothly. That always makes me so happy!
What was something about this event that really stood out to you?
I loved how the couple included their adorable dog, Tonto, throughout the whole wedding. He was their ring bearer and stayed the whole night. He truly stole the show!
What was something about the wedding day that truly touched you?
The Father-Daughter dance! Darnelle and her dad danced to “You’ll be in My Heart” by Phil Collins. That song gets me every time!
What was the couple’s choice of first dance song?
A classic! “At Last” by Etta James.
