#TrendingTuesday: Wedding Food Trends

With Thanksgiving coming up this week, we want to discuss wedding food trends! Right now we’re finding food trucks to be a popular reception addition. Many couples are hiring local food trucks to dish out everything from burgers to funnel cakes at their receptions, especially if they’re at an outdoor venue. This would serve as an amazing conversation starter!

Also growing in popularity are brunch receptions and action stations, sometimes all at the same event (think crepe and omelet stations). Couples are learning that brunch weddings have many benefits, including cost savings, wonderful food variety, and getting to enjoy the entire day once the reception ends.

One last wedding food trend we’ve seen is the “grand” cocktail hour. Couples have learned that guests are ready for food and drink as soon as the ceremony ends, so many are investing in more opulent cocktail hours with fun signature drinks and numerous hors d’oeuvres. Some even have action stations and buffets! That way, guests can enjoy a smaller dinner and focus on dancing and celebrating once the reception begins.
