Orlando Destination Wedding | Christina and John at Sapphire Falls Resort
THE LOW-DOWN
Colorado couple Christina and John held their Orlando destination wedding at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort in early June last year. Their event was a sweet micro wedding with their dearest loved ones there to celebrate. It was an honor for our team to be part of it as the couple’s ceremony coordinators!
Although some rain showers caused the ceremony to move under the pavilion rather than take place on the Cayman Lawn, Christina and John still had the outdoor June wedding that they wanted. We loved that they included tropical accents in their floral and décor. It perfectly suited the tropical vibe of the venue! Their classic blush and white wedding color scheme also suited the venue and their late spring wedding season.
We also enjoyed some of the personal touches Christina and John included as part of their Orlando destination wedding. They gave fans to their guests as wedding favors, which is always a great idea when getting married in Florida! They also had to most adorable Star Wars Funko Pop cake topper for their wedding cake. It’s always so fun when couples add touches that really bring out their personalities!

How did everything go on the wedding day?
Overall, it went well! But we did have to make the decision to move the ceremony under the Cayman Court pavilion rather than having it on the lawn due to the weather. Christina and John were just happy to get married, so it all worked out in the end!

What was something about the wedding that stood out to you?
I loved that everyone wore sneakers—even the bride! It was perfect for the summery, casual destination vibe they were going for.

What was something about the wedding that truly touched you?
Their first look! John got quite emotional when he saw Christina as a bride for the first time. It got me emotional, too!
