Local Orlando couple Kristen and Chris held their outdoor lawn wedding at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate in early March. This lucky couple hosted their wedding right before the COVID quarantines started happening, and we’re so glad it worked out that way for them! They were surrounded by family and friends for their big day.
We thought Kristen and Chris’s wedding color palette of lilac and silver was an excellent choice. It reflected their wedding season of winter while hinting at spring right around the corner. Their floral and décor done by Lee Forrest Design made their lawn wedding look like a garden paradise! It all came together in a spectacular wedding design that completely wowed the couple’s guests.

Kristen and Chris had a family friend be their officiant. It was so special to have someone who’s known them for so long be the one to marry them!

Most emotional moment
Just moments before the ceremony, Kristen and her dad were waiting for her turn to walk down the aisle. He was so excited and proud of his daughter, he could hardly hold it together! It was so sweet to be part of that private moment.

Most surprising moment
The couple chose to do a bouquet toss during their reception. The Omni has a beautiful chandelier, and the bouquet got stuck! One of the bridesmaids brought her bouquet to the rescue while the other one was retrieved. It got a good laugh from all the guests!

A non-traditional choice made by the couple
Kristen and Chris enjoyed a private last dance in the ballroom while their guests got lined up for their bubble exit. It was such an intimate moment for the two of them to take a second to reflect on their amazing wedding day! The photographers even stayed behind to capture the moment.
