Just Marry! Team Update: A Whirlwind Year So Far!
May 19, 2011 by Just Marry!
Wow, I practically do a double-take every time I look at the calendar. It can’t be the middle of May already, can it?! What a whirlwind year it’s been so far; everyone on the Just Marry! team has had a jam-packed schedule for months on end, so I decided to put things on pause for a moment to catch you up on everything that’s been going on with us!
First, some of the lovely wedding planners of Just Marry! challenged themselves by competing in a 5k run/walk. Don’t Tahnee, Susan, Karen, Jayne, and Jen (left to right above) look so cute in their matching pink JM hats? We have since ordered matching jerseys, so stay tuned for our next team outing, coming soon!
Susan Southerland, our fearless leader, has been on-the-go so much, I’m surprised she hasn’t sprouted wings! I can’t begin to recount all of her local television appearances, speaking engagements at bridal shows and industry events all across the country, contributing regularly to the wedding blog on Perfect Wedding Guide’s website, and –let’s not forget– planning and coordinating memorable and meaningful weddings for numerous clients! Below, Susan was featured as the local expert, commenting on the Royal Wedding.
Speaking of industry events, I wanted to leave you with some photos (and a little something to look forward to on upcoming blog posts) from a recent bridal event that the Just Marry! team participated in. ‘Unveiled’ was held at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, one of our favorite wedding venues, to feature local wedding professionals and showcase their most elaborate and inspirational offerings. The Just Marry! team was there to mingle with brides-to-be and answer all of their wedding planning questions as well as assist with the setup and presentation of a mock ceremony site, cocktail hour, and bridal fashion show.
Below are some photos, contributed by the talented Ginger Midgett, of a sample reception table fitted with luxury linens, florals from your most romantic wedding fantasy, as well as personal touches you can actually do yourself: custom place cards and menu cards as well as a wine charm wedding favor (hint hint, check back on the blog for in-depth DIY tutorials on how you can make these yourself). Our thanks to Raining Roses and Over The Top for the stunningly gorgeous florals and linens, respectively.
So, there you have it– as much of our busy past few months as I could fit into a nutshell! We are looking ahead to a summer calendar filled with weddings, bridal events, and weekly blogging, but –most importantly– using all of our experience to help you plan the wedding of your dreams. Please feel free to reach out to us via email or by phone if you wish to learn more about our weddings! I invite you to explore our website and become inspired by the lovely venues we work with, photos of recent weddings, and the type of wedding that fits your style, needs, and budget.
Yours for a sensational event,
