Elegant Dusty Blue Wedding Theme | Kate and Kris at Ritz-Carlton Orlando

THE LOW-DOWN

Local Florida couple, Kate and Kris, chose an elegant dusty blue wedding theme for their wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes. We thought this was the perfect choice for both the venue and their mid-April spring wedding date! The happy couple celebrated with more than one hundred and fifty of their dearest loved ones on their big day, and we were honored to be part of it as their Orlando day-of wedding coordinators.

Kate and Kris accented their dusty blue wedding theme with touches of soft yellow and white. They brought out their color scheme in both traditional and creative ways that we just loved! Some of our favorite dusty blue wedding theme elements they included were their wedding stationery, their attendants’ attire, the bride’s bouquet and their décor florals, their wedding signage, and even their gorgeous wedding cake with its dusty blue trim. The pops of cobalt blue in their reception glassware were such a stunning added touch!

There were many other fun details to appreciate about Kate and Kris’s Ritz-Carlton wedding. Be sure to read on to learn more!

WHAT WE LOVED

The Just Marry! Team so enjoyed helping Kate and Kris bring their beautiful dusty blue wedding theme to life at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes! Here is what their Just Marry! wedding coordinator, Ellis, shared about their event:

Were there any planning challenges you helped the clients navigate?

Yes! One month prior to their wedding day, the bride, Kate, injured her foot and couldn’t walk. She had such a sweet and fun attitude about it, but she was worried about not being able to walk down the aisle come her wedding day. I offered all the encouragement, advice, and support possible during her time of healing and resting. In the end, she ended up being able to bear weight on her foot and walk down the aisle! Her beautiful dress even covered the boot she had to wear. 🙂

What was something about this event that really stood out to you?

The couple wrote and read letters to each other before they did their first look. It was such a special, touching moment!

What was something about this event that truly touched you?

The first look! The groom smiled and cried. It was so sweet!

Were there any unique elements that stood out to you?

The couple met at the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT, so they themed their signature drinks after this! I loved this personal touch that helped tell their story. Their drink sign was custom made, and it was perfect!

Bride’s Drink/”Hermosa Novia”: Rum & Coke

Groom’s Drink/”Guapo Novio”: Old-Fashioned

The couple also loved coffee! So, they gifted each guest with coffee, a kind note, and a biscotti as their wedding favors.
