THE LOW-DOWN
Colette and Reed’s restaurant wedding at STK Steakhouse was the perfect blend of elegance, intimacy, and incredible dining. The New Jersey couple traveled to Orlando to celebrate their January wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends at Disney Springs. Our team was honored to help coordinate their special day as they exchanged vows during a beautiful daytime ceremony followed by an intimate lunch reception.
One of the things we loved most about this celebration was how effortlessly the couple embraced the unique experience of a restaurant wedding. STK Steakhouse provided a sophisticated setting with stunning views overlooking Disney Springs, while also offering the convenience of hosting both the ceremony and reception in one location. Guests were able to move seamlessly from the ceremony into the reception space, allowing the day to feel relaxed, welcoming, and focused on what mattered most: celebrating the newlyweds.
Colette looked absolutely beautiful in a timeless bridal gown that was perfectly suited for an intimate destination wedding. One detail we especially loved was her delicate lace sleeves, which she found on Amazon and added to her bridal look for a custom touch! Reed looked equally handsome in a classic suit that complemented the modern terrace setting and the sophisticated atmosphere of STK.
Although the holidays had recently passed, subtle seasonal details remained throughout the venue and added a cozy touch to the celebration. Garland draped along the railings and bows adorning the sweetheart table brought a hint of winter charm without overwhelming the wedding design. The décor felt fresh, timeless, and perfectly suited to a January wedding.
The couple incorporated beautiful pops of red throughout their wedding day, creating a lovely contrast against the neutral restaurant setting. Red roses decorated the reception tables, while Colette carried a bouquet featuring the same vibrant blooms. These thoughtful floral details added warmth, romance, and a touch of classic elegance to the overall design.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious three-course seated lunch featuring some of STK’s signature dishes. Menu selections included favorites such as steak, chicken, and shrimp scampi, giving everyone plenty of options while creating a memorable dining experience. The atmosphere felt more like an intimate family gathering than a traditional reception, which was exactly what Colette and Reed had envisioned for their wedding day.
As wedding planners, we often find that couples are looking for ways to simplify their wedding day without sacrificing beauty or guest experience. A restaurant wedding offers exactly that balance, combining exceptional food, built-in ambiance, and a seamless flow between events. Colette and Reed’s celebration was a perfect example of how a thoughtfully planned restaurant wedding can feel both elegant and incredibly personal.

WHAT WE LOVED
The Just Marry! Team so enjoyed working with Colette and Reed on the planning of their restaurant wedding at STK Steakhouse! We asked their Just Marry! event coordinator, Jordan, a few questions about the big day, and this is what she shared with us:
What was something you did during the couples’ planning or on their wedding day that “saved the day”?
Because this celebration took place at one of the newer venues our team had the opportunity to work with, a big focus was ensuring the ceremony flow and setup on the terrace ran smoothly. Our team arrived early to coordinate with the venue, review ceremony décor placement, confirm music cues from the couple’s personal playlist, and make sure every detail was ready before guests arrived.
By carefully organizing the ceremony setup and timeline, the couple was able to fully relax and enjoy their morning wedding without worrying about logistics.
What was something about this event that really stood out to you and made it different?
Colette and Reed were truly one of the sweetest couples to work with. From the very beginning of planning, they were kind, thoughtful, and excited about every moment of their wedding day.
Their celebration was also especially memorable because it was one of the first weddings our team coordinated at this newer venue location, making the day feel extra special for both the couple and our team.
What was something about the wedding day that evoked emotion in you, the clients, and/or their guests?
One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony came when Colette walked down the aisle with her father to the instrumental version of “Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” by Elton John. The song created a beautiful and heartfelt atmosphere as she made her way to Reed on the terrace!
