Weddings are ultimately a reflection of you and your future spouse, so including personal wedding touches should be a no-brainer! There are so many ways you can reflect your personalities in your big day, from the selection of music, to your wedding color scheme, to your décor. Here are some of my favorite personal wedding touches that I think you’ll love too!

7 OF MY FAVORITE PERSONAL WEDDING TOUCHES
#1 – Include Your Pets
Anyone who knows me would not be surprised that this is my first choice for a personal wedding touch! I am obsessed with all pets, but most particularly my own. If your pet can’t physically be a part of your special day, there are so many other options to include them in the details.
One of the most popular is naming a signature cocktail after them. You could also have custom cocktail napkins, drink stirrers, or coasters with your pet’s face on them! Another fun idea is to include your furry friend on a custom cake topper. If you have a crowd of pet owners attending your wedding, you could also include a paw-ty favor to their furry loved ones from your own!

#2 – Write Your Own Vows
This is a pretty obvious personal wedding touch, but it’s one of my absolute favorites! I instantly tear up whenever a couple writes their own vows to each other. It is so special to speak right from the heart in front of your loved ones and vow your love and devotion to one another.
Custom vows can be made even more personal by writing them in a set of personalized vow books like these. Another creative idea that I adore is privately reading your own vows to each other during your first look. After all, your vows are meant to be between the two of you, so how perfect to read them to each other in such an intimate moment!
#3 – Design a Custom Wedding Crest
On your wedding day, two people and families are becoming one. What better way to start off this new chapter than with a customized wedding crest? Just Marry! Event Manager, McCall, had one of these for her January wedding, and it was just spectacular!
You can include a custom wedding crest in so many aspects of your wedding. Your save the dates and invitations, your day-of stationery details like programs, menus, place cards, and your welcome and bar signage signage are all great places to show it off. An amazing stationery artist will make sure the theme is consistent and that your crest really encapsulates the two of you as a couple!

#4 – Honor Departed Loved Ones
There are so many ways you can honor loved ones who are no longer with you on your wedding day. This is obviously the most personal wedding touch that you can have! A popular option is hosting a memorial table with photographs of your loved ones decorated with candles and flowers.
You could also include more private personal touches, such as a charm with a photo of your loved one attached to your bouquet, or a piece of your loved one’s shirt sewn into your dress or used as the wrapping for your bouquet. You could also have cuff links made with photos of your loved one, or personalized handwriting jewelry. These are some of the most special personal touches you can include on your wedding day. Make sure you mention them to your photographer so they can capture them!
#5 – Give Your Wedding Party Personalized Hangers
I’m all about wedding party gifts that are both cute and practical! Monogrammed or personalized hangers like these are both. Plus, they’re a great personal wedding touch! Your photographer will take detailed shots of your wedding party’s attire, so why not make sure everything is hanging on fun, matching hangers? You can monogram these with each person’s name or initials and include the date of your wedding. That way, everything looks consistent in photos, and they will think of your special day every time they use it!

#6 – Have Song Request RSVP Cards
Get your guests involved in your wedding planning and include a line on their response card to suggest their favorite song! This will guarantee a fun, personal touch for each guest to enjoy. Make sure you let them know that there is only one rule – you MUST join the dance floor when your song comes on!
#7 – Use a Monogrammed Gobo Light
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a big fan of all things monogrammed. It’s such an easy way to add a big personal touch to almost anything! Having your new family monogram or crest as a lit display at your wedding reception adds another layer of unique personal touches. You can have it displayed on the center of the dance floor, against a focal wall, or illuminating the space behind your sweetheart table!
